Teaching assistant in the Department of Physics
Thank you for your interest in working as a student teaching tutor in the Department of Physics. The application period for the winter semester runs from June to July, and for the summer semester from January to February.
The language of instruction is German.

Courses offered during the winter semester (accompanying lectures):
- Experimental Physics 1 and 3
- Introduction to Scientific Programming
- Introduction to Neural Networks
Courses offered during the summer semester (accompanying lectures):
- Experimental Physics 2 and 4
- Experimental Physics 2 for Chemists (requirement: completed bachelor’s degree; language: German or English)
- Physics for Electrical Engineers (applications to: jan@tum.de)
Block courses during the semester break:
During the lecture-free period, intensive one-week block courses are offered. The application period for the winter semester break courses (March)—Analysis 1, Experimental Physics 1, and Linear Algebra—is in December. The application period for the summer semester break courses (September)—Analysis 2, Experimental Physics 2, and Theoretical Physics 1—is in May.
Applications for Theoretical Physics should be sent to the current exercise instructor (ut@nat.tum.de)

For the summer semester 2026, no tutors are being recruited for Experimental Physics or Physics for Electrical Engineers.
