Curriculum
The curriculum on the B.Sc. Informatics foresees a minor with a workload of 21 CP. The mandatory individual course plan can be worked out with Dr. Katja Block (studium@nat.tum.de).
The modules available for selection and the ‘selection rules’ are set out below. Most students choose the so-called standard curriculum.
PH0001: Experimental Physics 1 (9CP) in the WS
PH0002: Experimental Physics 2 (9CP) in the SS
PH0009: Beginners' practical course part 1 (5CP) in the SS
The standard curriculum conveys a completed section of the basic physical education (mechanics, electromagnetism) and can be mastered with the mathematical tools of the B.Sc. Informatics program.
Required Module
The module PH0001 Experimental Physics 1 is mandatory. It is recommended, to take this module in the third term.
Elective Modules
You have to select two modules from the catalog below. At least one has to be from group 1.
Group 1
Modules with graded examination requirement:
- PH0002 Experimental Physics 2 in summer semester
- PH0003 Experimental Physics 3 in winter semester
- PH0004 Experimental Physics 4 in summer semester
- PH0005 Theoretical Physics 1 (Mechanics) in summer semester
- PH0006 Theoretical Physics 2 (Electrodynamics) in winter semester
- PH0007 Theoretical Physics 3 (Quantum Mechanics) in summer semester
- PH0008 Theoretical Physics 4A (Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics) in winter semester
Group 2
Modules with pass/fail credit requirement. Their workload is according to 5 CP (each),
- PH0009 Lab Course Part 1 in summer semester
- PH0010 Lab Course Part 2 in winter semester
- PH0011 Lab Course Part 3 in summer semester
