German as Foreign Language in General-Education Catalog

If you live and study in Munich, German language skills are essential for everyday life and integration – whether at university, in professional contexts, or in your private life. At TUM Language Center you can improve your German language skills – whether you are a beginner or arrived at the TUM with some knowledge of German.

In German-taught programs (Bachelor program in physics and Master programs in physics KM, KTA, and BIO), German language courses can be recognized as general-education subjects only in in rare, well-founded cases.

Currently the following modules of language courses are included in the study programs’ trees in TUMonline. If you would like to take a language course that is not listed here please contact the study counseling as soon as possible but before exam registration in TUMonline. Please include the module number in your request.
